How we compare
Frequently asked questions
What does the 25:1 extract ratio actually mean for me?
It tells you the concentration. Each capsule is made from 25 parts raw turmeric rhizome to 1 part finished extract — so a 500 mg capsule of this 25:1 extract is concentrated from 25 times that weight of raw turmeric rhizome. The extract ratio and per-capsule weight are taken from the Just Vitamins product specification.
I'm on blood-thinning medication — is turmeric safe for me?
Speak with your GP before starting any turmeric supplement if you take warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel or other anti-platelet medication. Curcumin may interact with these medications in some individuals. The same caution applies in the two weeks before any planned surgery.
Why is there Vitamin C in a turmeric supplement?
Vitamin C is included for two reasons. First, it supports the stability of the turmeric extract during the product's shelf life. Second, vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation — an authorised nutrient claim that complements turmeric's joint and mobility positioning.
How long until I see results?
Botanical effects build with continued daily use. Most customers report meaningful changes between months two and three of consistent intake. Stopping and restarting resets the clock — daily consistency is the single biggest factor.
Can I take this with other supplements?
Yes — this botanical pairs with most daily routines. If you take blood-thinning medication, anti-platelet medication, or are scheduled for surgery, speak with your GP before starting any botanical supplement.
Is this safe long term?
At the recommended dose, this botanical supplement is suitable for long-term daily use. As with any supplement, pause two weeks before planned surgery and inform your healthcare team if you are taking it.
Why include BioPerine®?
Curcumin — the active in turmeric — is poorly absorbed on its own. BioPerine®, a standardised black-pepper extract, has been shown in human trials to support curcumin absorption. We include it at the dose studied in those trials.
